Evening Program

Conference participants are invited to take part in the evening program which will take place on the first day of the conference. It is a great chance to further discuss the topics covered during the day and to network with energy experts and industry representatives.

The evening program will start with a small panoramic boat trip with a welcome drink served on board. The boat will bring the guests to the restaurant where there will be some maritime entertainment on the menu in addition to a delicious meal.

The dinner will be served at Nøsteboden, a place that gives a real sense of Bergen’s maritime history. The building dates back to the 17th century and has a lovely interior and a charming atmosphere.

During the dinner, the shanty singer Håkon Vatle will perform old songs of shanties. Håkon is a tall ship sailor with a master’s degree in shanties and a great passion for maritime history and culture. He has also done music studies with shanties as a main topic. In 2000 Håkon established Storm Weather Shanty Choir whose mission is to bring forth a forgotten song tradition. The background for the music is the Norwegian tall ship “Statsraad Lehmkuhl”,  where Håkon worked for many seasons.

Don’t miss this great opportunity to meet speakers and other attendees of the conference to exchange thoughts and ideas while enjoying delicious food, nice music and unique atmosphere of Bergen!
